“On the road to URC 2025”: a preparatory event for the Business Dimension.

URC

On March 5, 2025, a preparatory event dedicated to the Business Dimension of the Ukraine Recovery Conference – URC (scheduled for July 10-11, 2025, in Rome) will be held in Milan, at Palazzo Lombardia.

The event will be introduced by the Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and will see among its participants the Ukrainian Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, and the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana. Over 350 Italian companies are expected to participate.

The Business Dimension will focus, among other things, on topics such as: investments in Ukraine (including EU funding and those from private funds), war insurance, energy policy, manufacturing and processing industry, the infrastructure and housing plan, critical raw materials and SMEs.

A networking lunch is then planned, where it will also be possible to get to know the Ukrainian creative industries operating in the world of fashion and wine activity.

The ultimate goal is to bring together public institutions, private institutions and economic operators, so as to encourage discussion on supporting the participation of businesses in the Ukrainian reconstruction process.

On the sidelines of the event, three workshops will be organized on:

  • National Energy and Climate Plan of Ukraine (NECP): presentation of 4-5 potential investment projects and networking.
  • UNIDO Green Industrial Recovery: workshop on the creation of joint ventures by Ukrainian and Japanese companies as a reference and good practice to follow.
  • Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF) and other investment tools for international companies: workshop held by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE).

Given the relevance of the topics on the agenda and the quality of the participating companies, participation is absolutely recommended: it is an excellent networking opportunity, as well as an in-depth study of the Ukrainian context in view of post-war reconstruction, opening the doors to countless economic and work opportunities.
